Creating a chowder that is lower in fat is possible, just have to find the right ingredients :). If you are cutting calories to achieve your fitness goals, eating more carbs to fuel your workouts, have liver/gallbladder issues so you have to watch your fats -then this is a recipe for you.
I am always looking for ways to make high fat and high carb meals either one or the other, I do not like to mix high fat and high carb much because I want to stick to my macro plans for the day ya know 🙂 so here is how to have the best of both worlds.
Ingredients:
- frozen chicken breast (4 )
- Chipotle peppers in an adobe sauce (1/2 of a can)
- fair life zero fat milk (1 cup)
- 1 cup of frozen corn
- 4 small potatoes (optional)
- green onions
- red bell peppers
- taco seasoning (1-2 packet)
- 1 whole onion
Put all the ingredients into an insta-pot and cook under the chili settings~
Thats it ! You now Have a chowder in 30-40 minutes
Enjoy with a gluten free wrap with little low fat cheese (quesadilla) or corn tortillas(watch the fat here though). There you have it, it is so delicious and filling.
